Created on the administrative basis of Vetek (Seniority) Association – the Movement for Longevity and Quality of Life, we operate the China-Israel Health & Longevity Consortium – dedicated to promoting cooperation on research, development and education for healthy longevity between China, Israel, and the world.

Mission Statement
The China–Israel Health and Longevity Consortium (CIHLC) is dedicated to advancing global health, healthy aging, and medical innovation through strategic collaboration between China and Israel. We unite leading scientists, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to foster breakthrough research, translational medicine, and scalable solutions that extend healthspan and improve quality of life for aging populations. Rooted in a spirit of partnership, excellence, and cross-cultural exchange, CIHLC bridges nations to build a healthier, longer-living world.

Chairpersons

Dr. Ilia Stambler, PhD

Co-Founder and Co-Chair, China-Israel Health & Longevity Consortium.

Ilia Stambler, PhD, is the Chief Science Officer and Chairman of Vetek (Seniority) Association – the Movement for Longevity and Quality of Life, Israel (http://www.longevityisrael.org/) and Chairman of International Longevity Alliance (https://longevityalliance.org/)  He is a fellow at the Department of Science, Technology and Society, Bar Ilan University, Israel (https://sts.biu.ac.il/en/faculty). His PhD thesis from Bar-Ilan University on the “History of Life-extensionism in the Twentieth Century” resulted in an encompassing compendium on the history of aging and longevity research (http://www.longevityhistory.com/). His research has focused on the historical and social implications of aging and longevity research, including ethical, policy and regulatory implications. He has also been involved in mathematical modeling of aging and aging-related diseases, utilizing information-theoretical measures, with high impact publications.

He is the author of the books “A History of Life-extensionism in the Twentieth Century” and “Longevity Promotion: Multidisciplinary Perspectives” and over 80 academic papers (journal articles and book chapters). He has been an invited speaker in over 80 academic conferences, over half of which he co-organized and/or co-chaired.

He is actively involved in advocacy for healthy longevity research, development and education, serving as a board member in several international organizations for healthy longevity research and advocacy. He has initiated and organized the international advocacy and educational campaign for aging and longevity research – the “Longevity Day and Month” with events organized since 2013 in dozens of countries. He is the author and active promoter of the section on “Enhancing research, development and education for healthy longevity and prevention of aging-related diseases” as a part of the Israel National Masterplan on Aging published by Knesset in 2019. He has contributed to formulating international co-operations for Healthy Longevity, such as the UK-Israel BIRAX Ageing program. He played an active part in the campaign for the inclusion of aging into the WHO work program in 2017 and other advocacy and educational campaigns for healthy longevity research, development and application.

Prof. Jing Bao, MD, PhD

Dr. Bao is an internationally recognized physician-scientist, healthcare executive, and visionary leader with over three decades of expertise spanning medicine, venture capital, regulatory science, infectious disease control, and global health. As the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the China-Israel Health & Longevity Consortium, Dr. Bao brings together her lifelong commitment to advancing human health with her unique cross-border experience in China, Israel, and the United States.

Dr. Bao’s career has been distinguished by leadership in translational research and healthcare innovation. During her tenure of over a decade at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), she spearheaded China–U.S. collaborative initiatives and directed more than 20 multi-center clinical trials and FDA IND applications. Her cancer research was recognized by Nature Reviews as one of the year’s most important scientific breakthroughs.

A seasoned executive, Dr. Bao has served as Chief Medical Officer and board director for several global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, overseeing diverse product pipelines. She was also a partner at a $7 billion fund investing in cutting-edge life science technologies and served on the boards of biotech companies in the U.S., China, and Israel—strengthening global innovation and collaboration.

As an adjunct professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Dr. Bao lectures on innovation, investment, clinical trials, drug safety, infectious disease control, and regulatory science etc. She shares valuable insights on bridging medicine, science, and finance with the next generation of life science leaders.

Dr. Bao is also a published author, cultural ambassador, and advocate for women’s leadership. Her memoirs—My 2000 Days in Israel and the Wild Cactus—reflect her dedication to cross-cultural understanding and dialogue. She has held leadership roles in international organizations such as American Women for International Understanding and the Asian American Government Executives Network. Her contributions have earned her numerous honors, including the NIH Director’s Merit Award and the prestigious 2025 Sino-Phil Asia Peace Prize for her work in global health diplomacy and the advancement of women in leadership.

Dr. Bao earned her Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel under the mentorship of Professor Yosef Yarden, and her M.D. from Southeastern University Medical School in China. She remains committed to forging groundbreaking partnerships, advancing healthy longevity, and accelerating the development of innovative healthy longevity solutions to benefit people around the world.
