קול קורא להגשת קדם-הצעות מחקר לשנת 2020
בתחום: מדעי החיים והרפואה
בנושאים:
– הזדקנות בריאה – גנטיקה ואפי-גנטיקה;
– מחקר תרגומי לפיתוח שיטות לבדיקת התאמה/רעילות תרופות כבסיס טרום טיפולי לרפואה מותאמת אישית;
– מחקרים לחלופות לניסויים בבעלי חיים.

לפי קול הקורא
“בשל הזדקנות אוכלוסיית העולם, ואוכלוסיית ישראל בפרט, והעלייה הנובעת מכך בנטל הכלכלי ובמחלות הלא-מידבקות הקשורות להזדקנות, יש צורך לקדם את חקר ההזדקנות והמחלות הקשורות להזדקנות כאמצעי לשיפור איכות ואריכות חיים ומניעת מחלות זקנה. קול קורא זה פונה למחקרים בעלי פוטנציאל יישומי הבוחנים את הקשר של הגנטיקה והאפי-גנטיקה לתהליכי ההזדקנות והמחלות הנלוות לכך.”
התקציב אשר יוקצה על ידי המשרד לצורך מימון מחקרים במסגרת קול קורא זה יהיה בין 10.9 מיליון ₪ ל- 14 מיליון ₪. בפרט המחקרים בנושא הזדקנות בריאה – גנטיקה ואפי-גנטיקה – בין 7.21 מיליון ₪ ל-9.25 מיליון ₪. המשרד רשאי להגדיל את התקציב עד 14 מיליון ₪ נוספים (אם התקציב יוגדל, יחולק הסכום המוגדל ביחס שווה בין התחומים).
המימון עבור הוצאות המחקר יהיה בהתאם למפורט להלן:
הזדקנות בריאה – גנטיקה ואפי-גנטיקה –
• הצעה המוגשת ע”י חוקר ראשי אחד (קבוצת מחקר אחת): עד 0.6 מיליון ₪.
• 2 חוקרים ראשיים ומעלה (שתי קבוצות מחקר ומעלה): עד 1.2 מיליון ₪.
הסכומים המצוינים לעיל מתייחסים לתקופת מחקר של שלוש שנים.
פרק הזמן להגשת קדם-ההצעות על ידי החוקרים באמצעות המערכת המקוונת אל מרכז הפעילות ברשות המחקר הוא עד ליום ראשון, יג’ בסיון תשע”ט, 16.6.2019, עד השעה 15:00.

Call for submission of pre-research proposals for 2020
In the field: Life Sciences and Medicine
Topics:
– Healthy aging – genetics and epigenetics;
– Translational research for the development of methods for testing drug suitability / toxicity as a pre-therapeutic basis for personalized medicine;
– Studies of alternatives to animal experimentation
A precedent-setting special budget will be devoted to studies on Healthy aging – Genetics and Epigenetics
According to the call for research proposals
“Due to the aging of the world population, and the population of Israel in particular, and the consequent rise in the economic burden and incidence of non-communicable aging-related diseases, it is necessary to promote the research of aging and aging-related diseases as a means to improve longevity and quality of life and prevent aging-related diseases. This call invites studies with application potential that examine the relationship of genetics and epigenetics to the aging processes and associated diseases.”
The budget to be allocated by the Ministry to fund research in the framework of this call will be between NIS 10.9 million and NIS 14 million. In particular for the studies on Healthy aging – genetics and epigenetics – between NIS 7.21 million and NIS 9.25 million. The Ministry may increase the budget to an additional NIS 14 million (if the budget is increased, the increased amount will be divided equally between the fields).
Funding for research will be as follows:
Healthy Aging – Genetics and Epi-Genetics –
- Proposal submitted by one principal investigator (one research group): up to NIS 0.6 million.
- 2 or more principal investigators (two or more research groups): up to NIS 1.2 million.
The said amounts relate to a three-year research period.
The period for submission of pre-proposals by the researchers via the online system to the research authority activity center is until Sunday, 16.6.2019, until 15:00.
